From Fashion Model to Entrepreneur

Tuesday, July 1, 2008

He's a guy so good looking that he's been a fashion model for Levi Strauss, Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie and Fitch, Kenzo and Tom Ford.

And if that's not enough, he's now an entrepreneur.

Kyle Schroeder (W'00, Campus Tour Guide, Penn Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Sigma Phi Epsilon) started Cremo Cream with his good friend and inventor Mike Boone. (Mike is the Stanford engineer behind Cremo's amazing formulas and also invented the white "dry erase" board).

In a nutshell this shaving cream:
* Dramatically reduces cuts, nicks, scrapes and razor irritation.
* Gives you the closest, most comfortable. longest lasting shave.
* Leaves your skin astonishingly soft and smooth.

And check back this afternoon for info on what you can win from Kyle in our DT July Contest!

Friday, June 22, 2007

Penn alum Jill Goldberg (C'04, Dischord A Cappella, Penn Choir, Wind Ensemble) and Martha Stewart employee (rights and clearances dept.) got her 15 seconds of fame last fall. (recently opened DuelingTampons.com is catching up on stuff and wants to make sure you're still in the know!)

Jill wasn't crafting or cooking in this segment. ....But singing!

The exclusive story behind the video:
"Randy Jackson was a guest on our show. I told them I would love to sing for him as a fake audition. They liked it and gave me my 15 seconds of fame. Since I also wrote the song I sang, I got a nice royalty check for it!"
