...I just found this commercial about a famous Penn alum sports hero. To be honest, I hadn't known this guy was an alum.

Penn Alum Mark Cronin (Eng'86, Mask and Wig) has come up with another great VH1 celebreality show!

From vh1.com:
"This summer Poison's Bret Michaels will get his Flav on as the ladies pictured above vie for his attention in the Celebreality elimination-based dating show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.

"We knew women vying to date a rock star would make great entertainment but Bret brought outrageousness and excitement to the show that exceeded our wildest expectations,” said show executive producers Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego. “From motorbike wrecks to Vegas rock concerts, it’s a show where you can’t miss a single moment.”

Tune in on July 15 at 9/8 c on VH1!

Siddhartha Khosla (C’98, Off the Beat) debuts his band Goldspot's "Tally of the Yes Men" album today.

The album includes the debut single "It's Getting Old" and bonus track "Float On" - as heard on "the epitome of California cool" The OC.

This group is great and was featured in our first Pennfest back in 2002.

When he was in Off the Beat, Sid did a fantastic cover of Peter Gabriel's "Come talk to Me"...which is now available by download!

Elizabeth Banks (C'96) to star in Sisters horror film

Elizabeth Banks (C'96) will star in the horror remake A Tale of Two Sisters for DreamWorks.

From the Hollywood Reporter, "Based on the Kim Jee-Woon's 2003 Korean horror film of the same name, the story revolves around two sisters who return home to their father after spending time in a mental institution. Their recovery is hindered by their cruel stepmother's (Banks) obsessiveness and an interfering ghost."
